What made you start personal training with Lasantha? 

I wanted to improve my fitness and reduce risk of injury as I grow older.  

How have you found the training/advice and motivation Lasantha has given you?

Excellent. Lasantha is a good coach and motivator. He knows what he is talking about and provides a good balance of advice, information and motivation. I have worked with many trainers over a period of 25 years and he is one of the best, (even though I keep telling him he is soft!).  

How do you feel now?

I feel good. My strength has improved. My weight has dropped. My ability to combine complex exercise  has also improved.  

Any specific goals you have for the future?

Not really. I’m always looking for a new challenge. Maybe the June 1-25 push up challenge I have seen on FB.  

What are the some of the results you have achieved?

Reduced weight. Increased strength. Improved body shape.  

How do you balance gym and your life? 

It’s always difficult to get enough time in the gym but I try to prioritise it. Having set sessions with Lasantha is part of that. If I don’t maintain training between sessions I will pay for it! 

Any advice to others looking to get started?

Baby steps. Do what you can and use a PT like Lasantha.  

Favourite go to dish?

Omelette.  

Favourite exercise?

Bench press and monkey bars.  

Least favourite exercise?

Battle rope.  

What do you love about training at Element?

Good atmosphere. Friendly staff. Generally a good crew of trainees although I do have a bug bear about the few who always wear Workboots!
