What made you start personal training with Dwayne? 
I started with Dwayne after I had had some medical procedures done and gained weight. I didn’t like the way I looked and that impacted my self- esteem and my confidence.

How have you found the training/advice and motivation Dwayne has given you?
Dwayne has been fantastic. Since I have been with him, I have had quite a few “light bulb” moments. Things have started clicking into place. He is a great motivator and knows his stuff. No session is ever the same and you never get bored. He knows his nutrition information too and if you stick to what he tells you, it works!!!!

How do you feel now? 
I do feel stronger and have dropped clothes sizes. Confidence is starting to come back but I still have a way to go yet. Fitness is also improving.

Any specific goals you have for the future? 
My goal for this year is to complete the full course of Stadium Stomp in July (over 7,000 stairs in the MCG)

What are the some of the results you have achieved?
I am stronger now and have more of an idea about nutrition. I have dropped 2-3 sizes in my clothes and I am getting my cardio fitness back to where it was.

How do you balance gym and your life?
I always fit in 2 sessions a week with Dwayne, bootcamp on a Saturday morning and I try for 2 classes a week (either BodyPump, Sprint or Cycle 45) after work.

Any advice to others looking to get started?
Take the plunge. It was the best thing I did. I procrastinated for a while until I bit the bullet. I tried doing it on my own but I needed that bit of a push, someone to hold me accountable. And I haven’t regretted taking the plunge.

Favourite go to dish?
Chicken stir fry with steamed jasmine rice

Favourite exercise?
Anything with weights

Least favourite exercise?
Burpees

What do you love about training at Element?
The environment and the classes. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Plenty of equipment to target everyone’s needs.
